Remembering Indigenous Veterans: Film and Discussion Join us for a free evening of film and conversation as we explore the important but often overlooked service of Indigenous veterans in Canada. Watch Forgotten Warriors, a documentary that chronicles the historical injustice to these veterans, and hear from Indigenous veteran advocates Randi Gage and Bill Shead.

“Elio Ugrin, a singer-songwriter from Winnipeg, Manitoba, has been diligently refining his songwriting skills over the past four years. He unveiled his debut EP, ‘this crowded place,’ in May 2023, featuring some of his work from those years. Through melancholic guitar tones and recollections of distilled memories, his songs convey a sense of longing and solitude. The EP was recorded in the confines of his closet during a single night. Elio takes inspiration from artists such as Jim Sullivan and Adrianne Lenker”

MIFDA Friday Night Dance

Dance with the world! Beginners welcome. No partners required. Wear comfortable clothing and clean non-marking shoes for mild athletic activity. Bring your water bottle for rehydration. We dance numbers from Europe, the Middle East, North America and elsewhere. Most dances will be done in an open circle or line formation, or with dancers in a scatter pattern.
Drop in fee is $5.
