The Great Patio Showdown: A Comedy Game Show

The Great Patio Showdown is a game show pitting two teams of comedians against each other in a series of ridiculous games and quirky trivia rounds. Hosted by the incredible Erica Sigurdson and from the folks behind “Pants on Fire” (with team captains/bitter rivals Angie St. Mars & Aaron Pridham), you’ll find yourself both playing and laughing along on the GSAC patio.

Reclaiming Power Red Dress Day

May 5th is the National Day of Awareness and Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Gender diverse people – Red Dress Day. Join Gigaanaawenimaanaanig (the MMIWG2S+ Implementation Committee) for a Red Dress Day event on Friday, May 5th.
A round dance to honor our loved ones will be held at Portage and Main, beginning at 12pm. The memorial march will begin from Portage and Main at 12:30pm and will march to The Forks.

Chalk the Block is an event where participants show up and work together to create art along a city block. The 200 block of Leighton Ave connects Lord Wolseley School and École John Henderson Middle School in East Kildonan
We will be meeting at Lord Wolseley School. I will be in the school yard with chalk at the start, and then on the block helping people!

Canadian farmers produce almost 90 million tonnes of grain, oilseeds, and pulses that go to markets all over the world. Maybe you’ve seen the big grain elevators on the prairie landscape, or the combines in the field at harvest, or the long trains running parallel to the highways. What you don’t see is that most of that grain is bought and sold and analyzed and certified by organizations located in downtown Winnipeg.

Passageways is a free and guided tour in Winnipeg’s Exchange District neighbourhood. Passing into, through, under, over, past, or out one space to the next, participants will gain insight into changes, constants, charms, and connections in the downtown area. I invite you to join me on a 1.5-hour walk, wheel or roll of passageways in the City’s West and East Exchange.
