City of Winnipeg Compost Giveaway 2023

To keep you and our employees safe:

  • Only one vehicle will be allowed per compost pile at a time.
  • Customers must pack and carry your own compost. City employees will not be available to assist customers with their compost.
  • Customers must use their own shovels and gloves. City equipment will not be available for customer use.
  • Bring your own containers, shovel, and gloves – prepare to get a little dirty!
  • Limit of 100 litres of compost per vehicle (approximately five 19-litre/5-gallon pails).
  • Event is for Winnipeg residents only.
