In honour of the province of Manitoba’s 150th year, instead of just one day of fun, we are presenting a week-long series of FREE virtual Manitoba Day events and activities.
Everyone who registers on Zoom for any of the events, submits their scavenger hunt discoveries, or answers our program evaluation survey will be entered for a chance to win FREE passes to visit to the Museum.

Come see what’s new in the Museum Galleries! Join us for a 45-minute live Virtual Field Trip. Explore Manitoba history and learn about the interconnections between people and nature in our newly completed Welcome, Winnipeg, and Prairies Galleries. We’ll visit new exhibits on Treaties, Manitoba personalities, prairie plants, birds, archaeology, and the changing environment.

MANITOBA MUSIC NORTHERN BRASSWORKS QUINTET CONCERT VIDEO PREMIERE

The show goes on! Though we couldn’t host live musical performances at the Museum this year, we are pleased to launch the first of four concert recordings during Manitoba Week. Experience Manitoba music played by the Manitoba musicians of the Northern Brassworks Quintet.

MANITOBA SKIES TELESCOPE VIEWING EVENT
May 15 • 7 pm & 9 pm• Online • FREE
Explore the sky with us! Join Planetarium Astronomer Scott Young and special guests for a live virtual telescope viewing of the Solar System. Those with early bedtimes may want to join the first segment featuring the Moon at 7 pm. A second segment starts at 9 pm featuring the Moon plus the planets Mercury, Venus, and Mars!
