Winnipeg is known for its unique winter experiences, flourishing arts scene, and colourful festivals, as well as its green spaces and access to outdoor activities.
During winter, in the heart of the city, you can find one of the most, longest natural frozen skating trails. The skating trail takes you along the Red and Assiniboine Rivers spanning 8.5 kilometres in length.
Known as the “cultural cradle of Canada”, Winnipeg is home to many events including the Winnipeg Jazz Festival, Winnipeg Fringe Festival and Folklorama. Newer attractions include the world-class Canadian Museum for Human Rights.
The Winnipeg Arts Council summer walking and biking tours are back! In the wake of the many event cancellations due to the global Covid 19 pandemic, the tours season will be a welcome opportunity for Winnipeggers to get outside.
