This full-day event includes guided bus tours of the base\, along with both indoor and outdoor activities designed for the whole family. It’s a great chance to learn about the base’s history\, see how it has connected with the community over the years\, and reflect on its future. Visitors can explore the journey from RCAF Station Winnipeg’s official opening in April 1925\, through its vital role training pilots\, navigators\, observers\, and wireless operators during WWII\, to its ongoing tradition of training aircrews and providing search and rescue services to Canadians today. \n\n\n\nLe 100e anniversaire de la base des Forces canadiennes de Winnipeg est célébré avec une journée complète d’activités. The farm offers a wealth of activities aimed at inspiring Manitobans to become more ecologically conscious. Visitors can explore the farm and meet the friendly animals during the guided tours or wander through the designated areas before or after the tour. \n\n\n\nThe General Store is wheelchair accessible\, but visitors should be aware that the gravel parking lot and pathways may be challenging to navigate\, especially if there has been significant rainfall. \nOn both days\, guided tours of the barn and farm will run every 45 minutes\, starting at 11:00am\, with the last tour at 3:30pm. Each tour lasts approximately 25 minutes and accommodates a maximum of 30 guests.
