Starting January 2026, the gallery is opening its doors for free every Wednesday evening, offering a vibrant mix of art, music, and community connection.
Whether you're looking for a unique date night, an after-work hang-out, or a way to explore the world’s largest public collection of contemporary Inuit art, WAG Wednesday Nights is the city's premier weekly cultural event.

Experience the **We Are Winter Celebration** from January 10–12 at the Riley Family Duck Pond in Assiniboine Park, Winnipeg. Enjoy free winter activities, including skating, skiing, and ice biking, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on January 10 and 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm on January 11 and 12. The Whyte Ridge Community Centre Winter Carnival takes place on Sunday, January 11 from 1:30–4:30 PM at 170 Fleetwood Rd., featuring cross country skiing with Winnipeg Trails, sleigh rides, skating, indoor kids’ activities with MyGym, pizza, hot chocolate, and more at this free family event.
The Winnipeg Police Museum offers free admission and features artifacts dating back to the late 1800s, vintage vehicles and motorcycles, and stories highlighting the history and service of the Winnipeg Police Service, located at 245 Smith Street and open Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
