Spring Break is right around the corner, and if you’re looking for something fun, engaging, and maybe even a little educational for the kids, the Transcona Museum has you covered! From March 31 to April 4, they’re rolling out a full week of themed activities, hands-on crafts, and plenty of opportunities for kids to let their imaginations run wild.

This isn’t just your average drop-in program—each day has a unique theme, and the museum has put together a lineup of interactive activities that promise to keep kids entertained (and off screens for a bit). With three sessions each day, you can pick a time that fits your schedule. But heads up—spots fill up fast, so be sure to register early!

Important Details: 📅 Event Dates: March 31 – April 4, 2025
📍 Location: Transcona Museum, 141 Regent Ave W, Winnipeg, MB
🕘 Times: Three sessions per day

Set sail for a day of high-seas adventure! Kids can pick a pirate name, make floating pirate boats, and create treasure maps. Perfect for little buccaneers who dream of discovering hidden gold!

🏰 Tuesday, April 1 – Fairytale Day
Step into a storybook world with activities like designing a flag, building cardboard castles, and making paper dragon puppets. A great way for kids to bring their favorite fairytales to life!

🌍 Wednesday, April 2 – Around the World Adventure
Travel the globe (without leaving Transcona)! Kids will create adventure passports, craft paper plate compasses, and even build their own hot air balloons. Who’s ready to explore?

🦕 Thursday, April 3 – Dinosaur Day
Dino lovers, this one’s for you! Dig into prehistoric fun with activities like drawing dino tracks, crafting pasta dino fossils, and hatching paper dino eggs. It’s a roaring good time!

🎲 Friday, April 4 – Games Day
End the week with some classic fun! Kids can take part in caterpillar races, test their luck at BINGO, and enjoy a mix of party games to wrap up the week.

How to Register

Registration opens March 5, 2025, and spots are limited, so don’t wait too long! Tickets will be available through the Transcona Museum’s official website. If you have any questions about the event or need help signing up, you can contact the museum directly.
