As part of Provincial Engineering and Geoscience Week (PEGW) during March 1-8, 2020, our annual Spaghetti Bridge Competition, in support of Winnipeg Harvest, returns with extended hours and new locations for pre-registered school groups. K-Grade 12 students compete to build the strongest bridge using just pasta and white or wood glue, then watch as we test it to destruction!
For each lb of weight the bridges bear, Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba donates $1 to Winnipeg Harvest, and entrants are encouraged to bring a ‘Tin for the Bin’. The builder(s) of the strongest bridge in each grade category win a cash prize, as well as being in for the chance to win the grand prize!
