Celebrate Winnipeg 150 with Free Outdoor Pool Access on August Long Weekend!

Winnipeg Mayor Scott Gillingham, alongside Charleswood-Tuxedo-Westwood Councillor Evan Duncan, has announced an exciting event in honor of Winnipeg’s 150th anniversary. Over the August long weekend, all City of Winnipeg outdoor pools will offer free admission, inviting residents to celebrate this significant milestone with a splash!

Mayor Gillingham emphasized the importance of community participation in this historic celebration, stating, “By providing free outdoor pool access on August long weekend, we are encouraging everyone to take part in the Winnipeg 150 festivities and enjoy the summer. I invite all Winnipeggers to make the most of this opportunity and celebrate our city’s milestone together.”

• Fort Garry Lions Pool: 969 Dowker Ave.
• Freight House Pool: 200 Isabel St.
• Kildonan Park Pool: 2015 Main St.
• Provencher Pool: 590 rue Langevin
• St. Vital Pool: 5 rue des Meurons
• Transcona Aquatic Park: 1101 Wabasha St.
• Westdale Pool: 550 Dale Blvd.
• Windsor Park Pool: 333 Speers Rd.

(Note: Freight House, Provencher, and Windsor Park pools are unheated and already free to the public.)

The cost of providing free outdoor pool access on August long weekend will be covered by the Mayor’s Office and the Charleswood-Tuxedo-Westwood Ward Land Dedication Reserve Fund.
