DOME@HOME: September 23

Loading Events

DOME@HOME is a weekly series of FREE virtual programming inviting Manitobans to explore the universe with Planetarium Astronomer Scott Young.

As pioneering Canadian astronomer Helen Sawyer Hogg always said, “The stars belong to everyone.”

This week is the vernal equinox – the official beginning of autumn in the northern hemisphere. What does that mean, both in terms of the coming weather and the constellations we can see?

We’ll also track down the most distant object you can see with your unaided eyes – a galaxy more than two and a half million light years away!

Register on Zoom or join us on Facebook or YouTube live!
