The Manitoba Museum presents DOME@HOME, a weekly series of FREE virtual programming inviting Manitobans to explore the universe.
Join Planetarium Astronomer Scott Young as we identify constellations and planets in the real sky, discover upcoming celestial events, and look at trending space science and astronomy news.
As pioneering Canadian astronomer Helen Sawyer Hogg always said, “The stars belong to everyone.” Learn how to find your stars and get to know the night sky, Thursdays at 7 pm.

DOME@HOME | MAY 26, 2022 | 7 PM CDT
The two most-explored planets beyond Earth are near each other in the morning sky, and finally high enough to spot easily. This week on DOME@HOME, we’ll look at the upcoming observing seasons for both Mars and Jupiter, and speak to Dr. Ed Cloutis, a Winnipeg scientist who works on the Mars Perseverance rover!
We’ll also have updates on the Artemis moon mission and other cool space stuff.
