This walking tour will explore public art that looks at how art exists in conversation with its surroundings, architecture, and context

This tour will begin at Millenium Library, 251 Donald, in front of Emptyful sculpture (see event picture). The tour considers how public art exists in conversation with the buildings that surround it, and its role in creating public environments.

We will visit:

  • Millennium Library
  • No. 1 Northern by John Nugent
  • The Wall by Bruce Head
  • Sculptures at Richardson Plaza
  • High Five by Jennifer Stillwell
  • Lights on the Exchange
  • Bloody Saturday by Noam Gonick and Bernie Miller

Tours will run as scheduled rain or shine but will be cancelled in the event of a thunderstorm. Please note this tour is not a loop; see map for details.

Accessibility: this tour is not wheelchair accessible; tour takes place on walking paths and will travel into the underground commerce at Portage and Main, conditions may vary. No facilities available on walk.
