This workshop is a free, one day event to support organizations to be trained to offer the Art for Wellness Programming titled ‘Get Your Art On!’. The workshop will have a complimentary lunch, and participants will leave with the 60 page Facilitation Guide which includes 22 lesson plans to choose from.

This Art for Wellness Programming is designed to promote an inclusive space that allows for self-discovery, self-reflection, increased confidence and exploration of personal creativity. ‘Get Your Art On’ is meant as a tool for facilitators to support youth in learning how to cope with the stress and challenges of life. We want to share what we have learned through developing and delivering this program and to provide a networking experience with educators and facilitators to learn how to use therapeutic art to support their community.

Get Your Art On’ can be used to promote mental wellness and inclusivity using documented and practiced techniques. It illustrates the historical and modern links between artistic expression and mental wellness. It provides strategies for creating inclusive “art is for everyone” approaches with adaptations on how to run courses both in person and online. Participants in our event will experience the program firsthand by creating art themselves!
