In honor of Winnipeg’s 150th anniversary, the pē-kiyokē Creative Arts Festival invites the public to a multicultural celebration featuring free music, dancing, poetry, activities, and food*!
Taking place on Saturday, July 27th from 1-5pm, the festival offers free admission and encourages attendees to bring lawn chairs and blankets.

Featured performers include Jason Lepine and Lionel Desjarlais, Red River Fiddle; Kenneth Ingram, Pianist & Singer; Carol-Ann Bohrn and Brooke Hess, Contemporary Dancers; and Chasity and Caramello Swan, Inuit Throat Singers. Poetry readings and storytelling will be presented by Di Brandt, Duncan Mercredi, Jason Stefanik, Sadie-Phoenix Lavoie, and Matthew Evan Havens. A beading workshop led by Bronwyn Butterfield will also be available.
Food from Willy Dogs will be served to the first 500 attendees. The Ross House Museum will offer tours, exhibits, and local history. Book giveaways will also be part of the festivities.
