Casting Call for Paid Background Performers in Winnipeg!

Are you ready to be part of an exciting new thriller film? Oscar nominees Djimon Hounsou and Kodi Smit-McPhee are starring in “The Zealot”, and there’s a chance to join them on set!

Derek James Trapp & Helene Seradilla at DJT Casting are collaborating with Marianne Delveaux at Vista Casting to find the perfect background performers for this project.

About the Movie:

“The Zealot” is a claustrophobic thriller directed by Vadim Perelman, known for his work on “House of Sand and Fog” and “Persian Lessons”. The film follows Hassan, a Somali-American airport shuttle driver in Minneapolis, who is struggling to make ends meet. When Lloyd, a stranded twentysomething at the airport, offers to pay Hassan to take him overland to Chicago, it seems worth the risk. However, as Hassan realizes his passenger is not what he seems, he finds himself trapped in a terrifying situation.

The screenplay, written by Bennett Fisher, touches on themes of privilege, paranoia, and the assumptions people make about one another. The film is produced by Jib Polhemus, Michael Helfant, and Bradley Gallo, with Canadian production company Van Evera also involved.
