Laughs, Swag, and Making a Difference: Volunteer at the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival in Winnipeg!

Calling all Winnipeggers – the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival (GOCF) is rolling into town on July 19-21, 2024, and they need your help to make it a side-splitting success!

Why Volunteer?

Here’s the deal: volunteering at GOCF isn’t just about fetching coffee for grumpy comedians (although, who knows, that might be part of it!). It’s about being part of a fun, energetic event that brings laughter to Winnipeg while giving back to the community.

The article continues below

Volunteer Perks:

  • Be a part of the action! Catch your favorite comedians perform live (with select discounts on site!).
  • Score some awesome GOCF swag (think t-shirts and more!).
  • Gain valuable experience in the event industry (looks great on a resume!).
  • Support local businesses and charities – GOCF is all about making a positive impact.
  • Meet new people and make some unforgettable memories!

Volunteer Roles:

GOCF offers a variety of volunteer roles to fit your interests and schedule. Shifts are typically 4-5 hours and include tasks like:

  • Ticket Scanning: Ensure everyone gets in to see the hilarious acts.
  • Guest Experience: Be a friendly face, answer questions, and help festival-goers have a blast.
  • Wayfinding: Become a human map, guiding attendees to the laughs.

How to Volunteer:

Ready to join the fun and make a difference? Signing up is easy! Just head over to the GOCF website () and explore the volunteer opportunities. They’ll provide you with all the training you need, so no experience is necessary.

Important Notes:

  • All volunteers must be 19+ (ID required).
  • Wear comfortable shoes – you’ll be on your feet for most of your shift.
  • Public transit, carpooling, or ride-sharing is encouraged as parking is limited.

Don’t miss out on this chance to be part of Winnipeg’s biggest comedy event! Sign up to volunteer at the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival today!
