Held annually, Doors Open Winnipeg is a FREE city-wide celebration of Winnipeg’s distinct spaces, outstanding architecture and vibrant history. Each year, visitors are encouraged to explore Winnipeg’s past at unique events and tours located throughout the city. Since 2004, over 300,000 visitors and countless volunteers have made Doors Open Winnipeg one of the city’s essential spring events.

Free Admission to Naval Museum of Manitoba

The museum’s collection includes documents, pictures, books, and military artifacts related to the Navy from the period of organization onwards. Not only does the museum preserve the history of the navy, but it also provides a training facility to teach Naval and HMCS Chippawa history. Additionally, it fosters an interest in the Navy, its activities, and accomplishments among the general public.

Haunted History Tour @ Doors Open Winnipeg

Join one of Winnipeg’s most experienced guides and author of the book Haunted Winnipeg: Ghost Stories from the Heart of the Continent on a tour of haunted history. The walk will combine historical fact with ghost stories connected to three well-known Winnipeg buildings. Starting at Vaughan Street Jail, the tour will proceed to the Manitoba Legislature Building and conclude at Dalnavert Museum. Please note the tour does NOT go inside any of the buildings. Appropriate for ages 10 and up.

Skills Canada National Competition 2023

The Skills Canada National Competition 2023 (SCNC) is a free event that showcases the talents and skills of young Canadians in various trades and technologies. More than 550 competitors from across the country will participate in over 40 competitions, ranging from carpentry and fashion technology to information technology and welding. Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore interactive activities, exhibits, and workshops that highlight the diverse and rewarding careers in the skilled trades and technologies.
