Fifth Annual Mental Health and Anti-Stigma Event

June 20 @ 7:00 pm-9:30 pm

TSN Radio 1290 host Rick Ralph, mental health advocate Michael Redhead Champagne and Queen’s University Bell Canada Mental Health and Anti-Stigma Research Chair Dr. Heather Stuart, will be the featured speakers at the complimentary fifth annual Breaking the Silence event aimed at raising awareness about mental health and reducing the stigma associated with mental illness.

In January of 2017, Bell Let’s Talk committed $1 million to renew the Bell Canada Mental Health and Anti-Stigma Research Chair for a second five-year term at Queen’s. Dr. Stuart is a world-leading researcher who focuses on understanding the experience of stigma from the perspective of those directly affected by mental illness and their families. The event will highlight Dr. Stuart’s five simple ways each of us can play a role in ending the stigma around mental health issues.
