CaRaVaN at the Cube – Open Mic & Stage
September 11, 2017 @ 7:00 pm-10:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 7:00pm on Monday, repeating until September 18, 2017
CaRaVaN is an “Anything Goes” open mic. A mix of music, spoken word, comedy, magic, dance, storytelling, or anything else you can think up, you’ll see a range of performances from experienced artists trying out new things to people taking the stage for the first time.
All summer long, CaRaVaN is going to be taking place every Monday at the Cube stage in Old Market Square (except for June 19 during Jazz Fest & July 24 during Fringe). As with our limited run at the Cube last summer, we’ll have our full sound system and lighting set up for the best experience in our amazing Exchange District.
Sign up for the open mic begins at 7 PM, with things getting underway at 7:30. Those signing up can perform up to 2 songs (musicians) or ~5 minutes (all others). For everyone’s benefit, if you have a lot of additional equipment to set up, we recommend doing most of the set up on stage prior to the start of the show.
Our series at Old Market Square wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of the Exchange District Business Improvement Zone.
CaRaVaN at the Cube goes on rain or shine (those who came last year on rainy days know that the more intimate set-up still worked well). While there is a lawn area and a few picnic tables, we encourage everyone to bring a blanket or chair to sit on. The event is always free, but donations are welcomed and go a long way in helping ensure we can keep doing CaRaVaN in awesome places.
